For a photo hosting website, I've always liked photobucket - pretty much because it's insanely simple to use, and when you want to post pictures somewhere they have all the HTML or BBCode you need right beneath each picture.

If you have one or two melted places in the connector, you can move the wires to a good empty location. I have done this on 2 '66 Valiants when the alternator pass-thru connectors melted. There are about 6 unused places on this car. I was able to get replacement terminals at the local NAPA store. I had to ask for the connectors at the parts counter because they were not stocked in the store aisles. To work on the "female" side of the bulkhead connector I pushed it back into the car, then angled it back through the hole into the engine compartment for easier access. |

I found a NOS bulkhead disconnect, and changed out most of the brass connector under the hood and dash because of excessive corrosion. Additionally 60% of the conductors have been replaced under the hood, as well as several under the dash that were suspect, or had been hacked up by previous owners. I don't want to be messing with this car weekly fixing electrical gremlins. Most of the connectors used on the older Mopars are Packard 56 series connectors. WayTekwire.com carries a small selection of the plastic shells, and a full line of the male and female terminals. These are the same style terminals used in the bulkhead connector. From what I have seen, they seem to have the best prices on the terminals. I usually just recycle some used shell from the pick and pull. They also carry a full line of the Packard Weatherpak connectors that are used on the modern GM cars. The Weatherpak products are a very nice design that is truely weather proof. Good luck with your projects Scott. |

Thanks Scott, I have finished the Dart wiring project excepting replacing the allusive turn signal switch. I have booked marked the site for future projects. |
