In that case, I'd be giving some attention to your tranny and cooling system and making sure they're in top form opposed to worrying about oil capacity, like adding an external tranny fluid cooler -essential for frequent towing.
Try back-flushing out your rad and block, verify your using proper thermostat and cap and you could also use SlantSixDan's engine flush recipe (search 'soup' or 'engine flush') to ensure your oil system is clean in the first place. No point adding more mud to the pile unless you have a good, clean base to work up from.

Interesting that there are trucks/vans that have 360s even 440s that only came with 6qt capacity from the factory. With the 6qts you already have, you literally have 'one up' on the competition for an engine half the displacement and horsepower!

I hope you have a unobstructed exhaust system! When hauling like that you don't want allot of restriction or the SL6 will talk to you.....I would be running Doctor Dodges Dutra Duels so you can get more torque and one of his reworked high volume oil pumps. :!:

What is your rear end gear ratio?

This is extremely wasteful and utterly unnecessary. It's 2008, not 1948. We have excellent oils that'll easily last four to eight times longer than you're using it, and excellent filters that'll keep working for similar timeframes.
