Yep.. it will bolt up, it will run... you'll notice an improvement when you take the next step up to the 2.25" pipe over the 1.875" pipe... (not only in seat of the pants, but in some mileage improvements)...-D.Idiot |

Ted, where can I get an economaster If and what exactly is the difference. I still most likely will go with the supesix, but if i can get one readily and CHEAP, I may try it just out of curiousity. Yea, those turbos gulp fuel. Its a neat set up its a holley 850cfm carb with vacuum advance. The vacuum pot has a hole drilled in the top and the spring is a little stiffer(stretched it). I piped a hose post turbo down to the new drilled hole and its now boost actuated secondaries. After about 4lbs of boost the secondaries open up. Otherwise I have analog waste gates the dump the turbo back into the exhaust to i dont run lean on the 2 barrels. So as long as Im light on the foot and watch my spooling I can get decent MPG on the primaries. My guess is the engine is good for about 450hp give or take. |

You may not find a good one 'cheap'... Slant Six Dan has a few 1 barrels that are NEW... if you find one in the junkyard or if you get a remanufactured one... you're taking a crap shoot on whether it will still be working or serviceable...(remember OEM carbs are about 30-40 years old now and they aren't exactly getting better with age...) Good luck, -D.Idiot |

Royceflo, SL6 Dan has some new ones. All very nice. One of the interesting things about the carb is the wagon wheel style venturi. It mixes fuel with the air better than other styles. It is incredibly efficient and very responsive. It also has a dual plunger on the valve body, so it scoots. It makes driving the car allot of fun! I like your style.....thanks for the explanation. Sounds like some serious power! ![]() |
