Hey Piper, Thanks a bunch for the weights. That seems about 15lbs lighter than an 8", so may be worth using. My lightweight 11.6" rear disc setup is about 25 lbs for both sides, so about the same as the factory 9" drums. Any idea of spring perch-perch width? These are not hard to change, but thought I'd ask. 58" drum-drum is right for an A-body with Mustang offset rims. 56.5" is right for an A-body with Mopar offset rims. Maybe I'll do up a 7.5" for the '64 Dart... Thanks again, Lou |

On the Ranger 7.5" axle, perches are 39" center to center. Bad news is that the perches are on top of the axle (its a truck you know). Some other tid bits. There are 10" drum brakes on some of the Ranger axles, or a set can be taken from an Aerostar van and bolted on, if you want something more than 9" drums. No factory / salvage yard bolt on discs however. See therangerstation.com for more details. One thing for sure, there are lot of Rangers out on the road and in salvage yards. Plenty of parts available at reasonable prices. Piper106 |

OK, perches won't fit anyway (A-body is 43"), but no problem to switch 'em. Thanks again for the info, Lou |
