That Looks like a great car count! Reminds me of Bristol 2005.. Anyway Back in december I had planned on going to this one.. and Now I cant Due to Lack of funds.. Good luck to everyone there..

It looks like now I shouldn't have wasted my time in columbus and just came down there instead.

Quick update:

15 cars showed up, 13 made eliminations. Big win for the granddaddy of Slant 6 racing - Meril Bruner! Perfect weather and great hanging out at Empire Chrysler and at the track. Long distance went to Charlie Schmid from FL.

Everyone is looking forward to big races at Knoxville Aug 23-24 and especially Bristol with Glen Terry in from the West coast.

Had a great time, even with a -.0002 red in the first round.

As a side note, Lou and I when to a test and tune at Motor Mile Dragway/Speedway, near Blacksburg Va, on Fri night. That is one of the nicest trackes I have been to. A first class facility, with friendly managment. They also mentioned they would be open to a slant six race in conjunction with one of their Mopar meets.

Their Mopar Fest was early June this year, and I was out of town for it. Motor Mile said they would be happy to host a Slant race as part of that event, or another time.

Something to keep in mind for next year or future. Guys from Pitt could be there in about 5hrs as opposed to 7-8 for NW or Bristol. MD folks can be there in 4hrs. About 4 hrs for most of the TN racers and 2-3 hrs for NC racers. We're about 5.5 - 6 hrs from Atlanta too.

Bad luck jumped up and bit us at the wrong time. First race I have missed at Wilkesboro I think. Got tshirts back to 2002. My last shot for the race got shot down friday about 7pm. But we have solved that problem and will be at Knoxville Bristol and Clay city. Thanks for everybodys help . Ron Parker :D
