Snugging down but not tightening the three intake-to-exhaust bolts is the correct procedure, but the metal gasket never seals properly (at least not for long). Do yourself a huge favour; it is very much worth your while to get the good gaskets for the manifolds-to-head and intake-to-exhaust junctions.

You can also get great quality gaskets from remflex.com
They deal to autoparts stores, or you can call them direct. Great company with great service.

Thank you all for your kind words to my lady! I really appreciate it. Shes getting the super six treatment this weekend!!! Then I'll post some under the hood photos!
