Down to White-with-an-uppercase-W Troy, Michigan, now back. Rental was an '08 PT Cruiser from Enterprise. Not a bad car overall — the PT Cruiser is about the only current Mopar I'd even begin to think about owning — but the PT has some real "duhhhhhh" aspects of construction. Mould the door interior panels with an inbuilt armrest placed and shaped so that an average-height, frame, and width driver's elbow will come to rest there...and make it out of hard plastic covered with only a very thin, cosmetic skin. No! The armrest needs to have some padding and give, otherwise it becomes a source of pain, generally not compatible with enjoyment of driving. That kind of thing. Also squeaks, rattles, and vibration in this 28,000-km example. Sigh.
I think I probably need to maybe grab one of my new carbs for my car before they're all gone!
