Post subject:  And here we are...

Haven't sent these to Spec yet...

Will have to reyard the engine and setup back out of the Hpak duster (that's a different post...)

Stage 2 disc looks worn, but in OK shape...It functions fine for daily driving...

I would have to say there was some heat here that probably was the demise of the clutch after a hard launch...

I've never discoloured a pressure plate before-even a B&B 9 1/4" organic disc setup would just 'fade' and leave the pressure plate ready for another disc...

Given what I see, I may pull this set up and return it for autopsy, I just got my Stage 3 disc, but will need a new pressure plate...

Hopefully the next stage can take a 6K clutch dump...and these pictures are using street tires that spin rather than grab off the line...

Post subject:  Update...

I ordered a Spec Stage 4 solid hub -6 puck for the Hpak duster, because I have been a repeat customer they knocked off a few bux, normal price is less than the Stage 3...it's definately going to be an all or nothing clutch...Looks like my stage 2 package goes back to the factory for a recondition, I'll use the recon'd pressure plate for the stage 3 puck I have which will go into the "lime" duster to be used behind the A-230/Erson 280/270 mill with Offy 4 barrel I'll be transplanting into it.

How many people have used the Spec clutch and had trouble, I wonder? I am about to try mine and am getting nervous...

Not sure about the answer, but I would be hesitant to try one right now. I am very impressed with how Ryan's Mcleod Clutch and PP has held up running slicks in a heavy street car. But they make nothing that bolts in.

Hopefully Spec can get theirs working that good and have a bolt in unit that is ready to race.
