Eric W-times and monies tight. I have to do what I can a little at a time. Sigh. I will talk to Noel about doing the rest of what needs to be done so that my car stays on the road with me behind the wheel.

I printed this thread so I can read it all at home. I HATE not having interweb at home!!!!

Still no blinkers MiDi.
I have to prioritize my car stuff. And I am bad at that.

1. 2 front 10' drums (do both right?)
2. wheel bearings x 2
3. pitman arm/bushings
4. ball joints upper/lower
5. blinker switch

Just fix the drum with the bad bearing. If you get a good used drum and hub assembly is should have bearings with it and you should be able to just repack those bearings and replace the seal.

I'm in dire straights here people.
I barely made it to work today. I doubt I will make it home if I even try in my car.
I can't find a brake drum for my car anywhere. Oh, except Tampa BLEEPING Florida.

WA slanters....help me with a used one! Does anyone have one, or does anyone have a clue where I can get a used one here?? It needs to happen like 2 weeks ago. (Yes, Eric I know!!)

The Autozone by my house has a 9 inch front drum for $150.

Napa carries a new 9 inch front drum for $105. :?

Dang, that's pricey! Somebody out there has to have a 9 inch front drum for you.

I really wish you'd come to the forum about 6 months earlier. I tossed two perfectly good 10" drums. Actually, they might not have worked for you. What year is your car?

Oh, well those are cheaper, about 80-90 bucks per drum. Napa and Autozone also carry ten inch drums.

True, but she needs the drum for it's hub and new drums don't come with hubs.

If her car is '73 or newer there is a drum in Portland for $25 at Burnside Used Truck Parts 1-866-877-8969. They used to do more than just trucks.

Sigh.
I've called Napa. The only one they can get is the one in Tampa. Schucks can have one in a week. I need it now. Leaving her at work over night. Riding the bus to work tomorrow. That's gonna suck. Have to leave 3 hours before I need to be at work. Lame-o.

Did you ask Les Schwab how much they want for them? I have gotten new ones from them for my 69, etc..
