Quote: Quote: Flying anvil, nice score. I was thinking of putting one in my 330 wagon. Maybe we'll see you at SRP if they ever post a schedule.
I posted a link to a schedule of sorts in the SRP thread in the events forum, or someplace like that. I'd link to it, but I'm running out of lunch time. OK, fine, here's the link! (Last post in the thread.) Besides, this thread isn't about SRP, is it. Jopapa, what machine shop are you talking about? |

NICE! I got one of those too! Unfortunately I had to buy the entire truck to get it! The good news is for a $1,000.00 I got a rust free titled 1963 Ford F-100 with a 292 V8 engine, a 4-speed manual transmission and a Dana 60 rear with 4.56 gears! ![]() ![]() ![]() I actually bought it because I needed the body (cab & front end) for my other hot rod truck. It's cab is pretty rotten now and the front end got damaged when I when to pick up my 1972 Dodge Demon and smakced into two deer in the same night! Tha Dana 60 was just a welcomed discovery! ![]() Hopefully once I swap the bodies out I can get my $1,000.00 back out of the truck with the original frame, 292 V8 engine, 4-speed transmission, and brownish-purple cab & front clip. I am not sure if I am going to bother pulling out the Dana or not though. |

Dana 60 in a 1/2 ton???? I thought you had to bump up to a 3/4 to get one; is that one still a full floating axle?? |

I see 8 lug whels front and rear on that truck. Doesn't look like a 1/2 ton to me, but there were some HD Ford 1/2 tons that got 5-lug Dana 60s. |

Resurrecting the thread, since I finally made it over west of the mountains and had a chance to drive up to Blaine to pick up the axle. That thing is HEAVY! Though the extra weight in the back of my truck made for a very smooth ride back to Spokane. It's sitting in my garage right now, and I'm planning to get a hold of Dr. Diff to see how much I should expect to spend to have it set up to bolt into my Duster. I've got another deployment coming up so budget permitting, I'll be able to do it up this fall. |
