Personally, I would rather work with a known crank at a reputable machine shop than to roll the dice with a regrind kit of unknown origin. |

you know Dan, those calibrators arn't the easiest things to get a consistent reading on, around slick surface like a journal. I mean the slightest finger pressure changes the reading by at least .001 So i think it would be best to have them all "reground" down to .010 Just to make certain. |

Give it to a reputable machine shop and they'll do the checking, they can tell you exactly what it needs, and what you'll need as far as bearings. Don't worry about it. Just to make certain. |

Micrometer is easier to check a crank with over Vernier calipers. |
