Jezz Reed, that thing ain't no Corvette there Bud... ![]() ![]() Anyway, I am going to try and get this fixed without taking the rear end apart again, if I can. I hope someone out there will read this and learn from my mistakes, I sure have... ![]() |

Normally I should think "fine print" would be good for business in your line of work... Just pulling your chain. My Dart project is not unlike your 5th Ave. undertakings; three steps forward, two back. After a while the car just gives in and accepts the repair. As you can see from the photo I have the head off to install a dozen over sized valves, and a bit of porting. Stay tuned for future photographic up-dates. |

![]() ![]() Anyway, I'll get this straightened out. I just hope that my intake manifold, carburetor, and HEI swap goes more smoothly than this rear axle fiasco has gone. ![]() |

What carb/intake? Hopefully it will use a "Turbonator" to go with the Vic20! ![]() |

The 4360 is an economy minded T-Q copy. It only flows 450 CFM and has much smaller primary and secondary throttle bores. |

Reed, Are these only available used? If so, what rigs do I look for? |

Quote: Reed,
These are only available used. Check eBay, they pop up regularly. I actually have two cores I got in trade not too long ago. How much do you want one? Both are manual choke and both need a serious rebuild, but otherwise are complete and all parts move freely. You can still buy rebuild kits and electric choke conversion kits from Summit and Jegs. Are these only available used? If so, what rigs do I look for? The 4360 seems to be very finnicky to tune. I am still dialing mine in to idle smooth and run right. For some reason, my 4360 seems to run best with the driver's idle mixture screw out 1.5 turns and the passenger screw out 2.25 turns. I know this carb/intake/distributor combo isn't dialed in right yuet since I took it for a long drive today and got slightly worse gas mileage than I did with the worn out lean-burn setup. ![]() |

Reed, I have a Weiand 4 barrel manifold that I want to put on as soon as it quits snowing. Hopefully we will get some better weather. I can't believe this spring. Every weekend we get some snow out here. Not fun to work on the car with out a garage. It would be interesting to pick up one of these units, rebuild it and give it a try. Are they the same carb that cam on GM's V6's? |

Ted- As far as I know, the Holley 4360 was never offered as original equipment on any car and was strictly an aftermarket gas-saving item. It was part of Holley's "Economaster" line of carbs. It is a 450 CFM, mechanical secondary, spreadbore carb. The secondaries are hardly bigger than the primaries though. The upside is that the 450 CFM is just about right for mildly built slants and mild smallblocks. I have run this carb on the 351 in my Ford van with good results, and it is currently being re-tuned to run on my 318. So far so good. I think this would be a perfect four barrel carb for a street driven slant six. You would need an adapter to mount it on the usual four barrel intake due to the spread bore design of the carb though. Shoot me a PM and we can deal. ![]() |

My brother in law once removed had a Chevy or GMC truck with a V-6 with a 4bbl. It was a Quadrajet. I wanted that motor to drop in my Toyota. Did I just say I wanted a Chevy? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
