I wanted to swap a 225 crank into my 198 without changing pistons......told it couldn't be done?

You have to use 225 rods with the stock pistons. You're just undoing what Chrysler did to make the 198. Take out the short stroke crank and the longer rods. Put in the 225 crank and rods. I did this just a few months ago.

You'll end up with the pistons about .150 or so out of the deck. That is why we use the 2.2 pistons with the 198 rods. Those have a different pin height.

My 232 is a 198 block and rods with a 225 crank and 2.2 pistons. :shock:

No, he has different pistons in a long rod 225.
