This sounding all too familiar! Same problem, no oil to rockers. New short block, and a bunch of other EXPENSIVE stuff! Cam manufacturer says "not the cam oiling holes". Other experts say "has to be". Some people say, "use a high volume oil pump". Some say groove #4 cam bearing... Others say you will lose oil pressure if you do. Stiil others say "NO". Some say the rear rocker bolt should have a different size shank, others say no is does not?? Good god, does anybody have an answer? I just want to put the motor back in the car and drive! This is not a high tech build just a built slant six for the street. |

If the engine is out of the car.. just groove the rear cam bearing or rear cam jounal and it will oil the rockers. DD |
