I have run a Weber 32/36 DGEV on a stock iron 2 bbl manifold, on a stock engine. I used the car as a daily driver, and even raced it several times at a few slant 6 events. Only thing I did was adjust the jetting a couple sizes, the carb was very user-friendly. The only complaint I had with mine was a brief flat spot when under full acceleration from the starting line. I had read somewhere that the Weber carbs liked electric fuel pumps better than mechanical fuel pumps. I sold the car before I could find out.

Sweet! I found a carb kit for mine, should get it on thursday. Pretty stoked to mess with it.

I'm missing a few pieces from the carb linkage on mine, mainly from the primaries throttle shaft to the secondaries throttle shaft (secondaries don't open). I have to figure that out first.

By the way, do you recall what size jets you used for it? :)

What's fuel PSI of the mechanical pump chrysler uses? Specifically 2.2L mechanical pump. Mine is pumping 2PSI steady.

I would like to get away from mechanical pump and use a electric rotary pump (4 PSI or so) for weber 2 barrel. This connects to same weber topic.

But I want to know is there is a rotary pump that is trusted to last long time and can be had from NAPA?

Cheers, Wizard

BMEXICAN, sorry but I don't remember what jet sizes I used. I do remember having to go to a larger number size jet, and more important, a larger accelerator pump nozzle.

The 32/36 is good for a stock slant engine, but if you have any mods done to the engine then I would go to the Weber 38mm two barrel.

Wizard, not sure about the psi rating of the stock fuel pump. Don't have any recommendations for an electric, but be sure to use a low psi one, an not a high psi one. Anything rated at 4 psi should be fine to use.

No worries, I'll have to experiment with a few jet sizes. Bigger accelerator pump makes sense, I'll have to look into that. Do you know of any sources for these items?

My engine is .060" over, everything else is stock. I'm planning on putting a MP cam #4529342, 0.460" lift eventually. Looks like I might need a carb change later on after all...

Still, I'd like to mess with it while it has the stock cam and see how it performs. Thanks for your time! :D

Hi guys. I follow this thread with great interest, as I haven't decided what too choose for my own new carb ('77 Aspen Wagon supersix). Remember the fuel pressure required for the weber is ~2.5-3 PSI only, you may need a regulator. See this earlier thread : Weber troubles.

BMXICAN, you can get a jet kit for the Weber that includes accelerator pump nozzles from Carbs Unlimited on the internet. Do a search for them using google or yahoo.

I bought my Weber carb and jet kit from them without any problems.

Thanks bro, much appreciated! :D

I got my rebuild kit today, still have to mess with the missing linkage pieces though. I'll post more as I go, thanks again! :)
