Yes gates are open Fri afternoon for pit and camp set up and there should be about 6-7 racers there. We try to get enough space so all can pit and camp close together.

See if they'll make a special deal for the folks that can only be here Saturday. It would be sweet if they'd allow us to attend for the Sunday only rate on Saturday only. Fifty bucks. I have to be home Sunday too.

The track has a $10 tech fee on top of the weekend entry. maybe they could waive that for those staying only one day if they have to stick with the $75.

Folks are getting short of expendible $$$$

Had to go to Portland for a job walkthrough... stopped by Woodburn on the way back... got my application in, got my number so all I need to do is go through tech and find out where you guys are at, the office manager was very professional and was interested in us showing up. Even though the race on Sunday was for '72 and older, he said my '76 would be ok in the "inliner only" class...

We'll see how Saturday goes, I'm owed a "father's day" but owe my wife our anniversary this weekend....so Sunday is a "we'll see"

Luckily I work at a Sheet Metal Company...tomorrow morning will be 'fab up that front driveline loop from .080 aluminum'....

DI, are you running slicks? With out slicks, you do not need a loop. If you are running slicks the loop must be 1/4 inch steel 2 inch wide, or 7/8 inch by .065 inch welded steel tubing.

I won't be running slicks, but am a bit dubious about u-joint quality these days... it's pretty bad when a box says "Made in USA...Printed in USA" on it... I just want to make sure if the u-joint stresses and fails the driveline will just fall into the loop and trash itself... I'm also thinking that I may want to get a tranny blanket in case my clutch decides to frag instead of withering away like it normally would...

Looks like saturday is on for sure...heck if they can pass THOR's car I'm there....

I also dropped my membership $$$ into the mail last week so Sergio should be getting it soon.

I guess I'd better start practicing reaction time at the stop lights again against the local ricers....

Looks like a 50 pt race in the making...Good going guys...Seymour is will be smiling all the way to Woodburn. He should have the Naitional Points updates by then. Some of the East of the Mississippi teams ( three of them) are now combined and thinking of some ways to increase their points totals for 2009. One idea was to have two race on the same weekend. Don't know if that happened yet or is planned. Seymour will have some info. on our competition. Lets make Woodburn the first 50 point race f of 2009. BEE THERE
