I think I'll WAG it at 305-315, being as Doug doctored that pic and I couldn't read the scale, even blowing it up 300% I gotta say that that engine sure looks "thin". I can't help but think what it might do at Bonneville if somebody shoehorned it into a belly-tank/aero car. Roger |

Good eye...I put that "spare" t-cover on top of the engine , right at weigh-in, we wanted to count it. (like it makes any difference  )The cover we will use is the one on the car, it is tapped and has a fitting for a temp gauge sender. The touble is... that cover also looks like crap!  Time to get out the wire brush and spray paint... DD

335.......that's allot of weight off.....the big question I have is how much rotating weight was removed?......have been on the edge of my seat....Thanks Doc |

Cast crank is 16-19 lbs lighter than stock 225 forged crank. Rods and pistons probably about 2-4 lbs savings over stock stuff. Lou |

A total of 22 3/4 lbs of rotating weight came-out when compared with a forged crank, 225 with factory rods & pistons.. The light cast crank accounted for 20 lbs of that, it weighs-in at 56 lbs. DD

Buster weighs 272.5 lbs. The "lotto" was close but Wizard is the winner, guessing 275... followed by lowbudget with a 269 pound guess. I found that my scale is rated for 250 lbs but simply hits zero again at 250 pounds... and keeps on going. (Kinda like an old speedo where the numbers stop at 110 but the needle keeps going around and back to zero) As a calibration check, I weighed myself at 226 lbs and then weighed a 8 3/4 case seperatly, it was 33 lbs. Pick-up the case and got onto the scale, it read 9 pounds. (250 + 9 = 259 lbs)  (I need to loose a pound )Here is a photo of the scale reading. (250 = 22.5 = 272.5) DD
