I have the Weld Pak 100. It works well within the limits of its capabilities, but I'd get a more powerful machine if I had it to do over so I could weld heavier stuff. +10 on converting to gas. Also, get a auto-darkening helmet: SO much easier to see what you're doing. |

Mike-Mike I do mostly sheet metal and mild steel with a Mig. As stated before a Tig is the preferred method for welding alloys and non ferrous metals. Note I have use my Clarke for welding stainless and Alum with 100% Argon and the proper wire, but it is MUCH cheaper and easyer to use Tig for this. Frank |
