It is highly ionized and carries the electricity faster along the outer surfaces of the wires. Very important stuff.

well it finally stopped raining a little over and hour ago and i got a chance to remover the instrument cluster, i thourough visual inspection on the dash wiring harness and no wires seem to be fried i did notice one of the pins from the speedometer broken, one of the pins from the fuel guage seems to have some sort of solder at the bottom cause it broke off when i disconnected the plug, and also temp, charging, oil, and fuel guages seemed to be fried they smelt really bad, anyways i plan on removing the dash wiring harness to clean all the connections and replaceing the circuit boards, bulbs, by the way where its the voltage regulator on this 67 notch

ive come to find out that the broken soldered pin is the one that goes to the fuel guage, also i belive since my cuda is an early 67 it has the voltage regulator built in, so im thinking if i get an external voltage regulator and a set of volt, temp, oil pressure guage and of course the circuit board that would fix my problem??
