Lou,I was mistaken.I just spoke again with Ken at Oregon cams and he told me that he cant do more lift on the 144 lobe but has another lobe that is 238@.050 with .468 lift and also has one with .474 lift.Let me know what you think of this cam. HyperValiant |

I'm watching your combo with interest, I think this is almost exactly the direction I want to go. Mine will have triple SUs and a header, but otherwise very close to your spec. 170-180 hp at the wheels is about what a bone stock 2002-2005 WRX makes, BTW, and it's a great power level for the street. The only question in my mind (and in many others' apparently) is which cam... |

Mark, Those sound like better numbers. I also look to roughly match the valve lash specs or put a bit more on the exh for lash. What lash spec did he give you for those 238; 0.468" or 0.474" lobes? Let me know if you will order, since I might want one of those too. I have some cores, or he might have some. Lou |

Lou,I will let you know when I order but it will probably be a couple of weeks as I still have to pull a core from an engine.I will call back and find out about lash. Madmax,I spoke with Erson today and they are completely out of cam blanks and not sure when they will have any.I guess that Oregon cams could grind the 280/270 on my core.Where did you get your H-D valve springs? Are they factory Harley parts? What makes suitable for our application? Thanks HyperValiant |
