well i messed with the sound a little bit, and this might possibly be semi-close to the sound it will have, minus the echo-e effect.. http://members.cox.net/jdsanchez473/slant6-12.mp3 In reality it would prob. sound different, as i didn't do this in any precise manner, i have no idea how many degrees these tracks are off, i just cut a little off one track so they are offset to get a semi-sorta idea of what it could possibly sound like.. |

holy crap thats almost exactly like i pictured it, just not near as fancy lolaka rusty, some holes, no hood, 12 individual pipes sicking out of the side, and a whole lot of racket |

That's only if it was a 2-stroke engine...........With 4 strokes, it's 120 degrees. So you want them 60 degrees off........... |

It takes 2 crankshaft rotations to fire all 6 cylinders so the firing interval is 120°.

Also, I like the engines side-by-side. Keep the right one slanted and stand the left one up. Put big toothed pulleys like they use for blower drives on the front of both cranks, use a flywheel and empty bellhousing on one and take take the drive off the other. You'll be able to use two starters so cranking won't be a problem, both water pumps for good water flow, etc. |

now you have me considering this setup... i'll have to do more thinking on how to couple them. I guess i could use a big blower belt, i know they get about as much power put threw them as were dealing with here, i just wonder how long it will last, and how to pull the slack out and keep it out when you get on it.
