OK, an update and a warning.

I recently bought six more of the Mr. Gasket 3 lb pumps (the 42S that I've had on the HAMBster for awhile) for our float (Tournament's rather anal about redundancy
). They each put out 7 lbs. I called Mr. Gasket's help line and was informed that's what they are now. They run at 3 lbs only when free-flowing and need a regulator to achieve it when hooked to a system. I bespoke my displeasure with their ad that makes no mention of that fact.
They hung up on me.
I'll be reiterating it in a formal letter.
I'm having to order some regulators, and will get an extra for such time as the HAMBster's pump fails and needs updating.
I regret and rescind my advice to use these pumps for low pressure systems, they're no longer valid for that application.
Also, please, if you're stuck with this situation, do NOT buy the cheap "knob" style regulators. Get the fully enclosed, screw adjust sort, they're leagues safer.
