You need to check amperage not voltage - re read my earlier post to effectively test for current draw while the car is idle (not running) - it is merely a check as it sounds like you have found the problem :)

I ran a check Sunday using amps and couldn't get a reading at all. I had it connected in series to the negative battery post and the ground cable. I take it that means there is no more draw and the car should be ok, right?
