All you gues are right. But heres the reason key off shorts occur even in nonopowered wires. Electricity flows from negative to positive it is a potental not an actual flow.So if your wire is grounded you have a problem. If you want a LOT of FUN try ground shorts. They will drive you NUTS. I really do like electrical work.But then I am sort of strange. cr |

Electricity "flows" when there is "current". Your battery provides the "potential" to flow current. Current does not flow in wires that are not connected to a battery (potential). Let's not confuse our readers more than they already are.
