Quote: It's a step down from real metalflake, it's a metallic. "Rust-oleum Metallic" by name (rattle can #7252 Racing Green Metallic), got mine at Orchard. I used some of their gloss clear over it as well, done about a year and a half ago.
How about a photo or three of the whole car. They make a few other colors in that shelf name as well. I'm no painter but it's fairly easy to use as long as you don't start out too heavy and wait 5 minutes or so between coats. Actually, I originally cobbled this rockerbox up in Gray, for Cassandra. but liked it better on the Barn Job. I'd LOVE to build something just like that...a little roadster with a slant. I did a T-bucket with a 302 and that was different, but a slant....that is extremely cool. |

Hey, Oldrodder! What is going on in the added red circle, or is that temporary? Roger |

Howdy Roger, That's the unfinished (distributor) end of the vac advance line. Distributor isn't in yet in that pic. |

*******************************************Aahhhh.......That looks like an idea I might just have to steal. Much cleaner and less susceptible to damage. It'll look real purty all polished up, too. Roger |

I've sent my Offy valve cover with the added stovepipe off to Leanna at Phoenix Specialty Coatings down in TN. She is going to powder coat just the top of the fins. Ought to look pretty sharp! |
