I got a new fusible link and the wire is about 8" long. That needs to be used as is correct? Can't be shortened? Thanks. Rick |

The new fuselink should be as close as possible to the length of the old fuselink. There's no reason why you can't shorten it. Just work with it as you would any other piece of wire. Also see here for options. |

Dan, This will go in a new wire from the Alternator directly to the Battery. Alternator was moved to Drivers side. So there was no link there. The whole distance from the alternator lug to the battery is only about 18". Thanks, Rick |
