The FED I got last year is 200" WB I don't see a need for a car that long and the frame rails need repair any way. What supercharger are you using? Are you going to intercool the air charge? I am going to try to fit this ( see link) inside my fabricated manifold, with the sides cut off. I have been considering e-85, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Water-Air-Intercooler-12-x-12-x-4-5-1000HP-Free-S-H-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem35b1092ec3QQitemZ230603435715QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories |

![]() This is the only picture I have of Myers dragster he use to run. It was a Racetech dragster that Charles had built. The only real difference between it and normal dragster is that it had about two extra inches between the drivers compartment and the rear end. After I stopped driving the rampage I tried to track it down. The car was for sale like you see in the picture for 10K. (apprx 2004-2005) Before I could work out the funds it sold to someone in NY state. Not sure if it still looks like this or not?? I have the chassis number written down somewhere if someone is serious about finding it. Shoot me an email I will dig it up and racetech may be able to help you find it. (drakecoatings@aol.com) Charles and I talked about it at one of the last Feb meetings I attended and at that point in time he still had the motor plate and short trans tail housing to fit it. He offered them to me if I bought the dragster so I am pretty he still has the pieces to fit a slant in it. He told me it and the Arrow had run the same number 9.93. That was the fastest pass for both of them but the motor in the arrow was a much better motor than the dragster ever had. We figured the dragster would have probably been in the 8's with the arrow motor. As Dennis indicated the dragster motor was mild to say the least. I can not remember the race weight on the dragster. The simca ran 9.85 as its fastest pass of 12-13# of boost. The split was a 6.27 on that run at Bristol. We always felt like on a good track that run would have been a 9.60-70ish run in the 1/4. That was with a race weight of 2315 with driver. The Rampage on 6# of boost ran 6.90. that was .20-.30 faster than the Simca on the same boost. I felt like this was because of the boost controller more than anything. If you could make close to Cameron Tilley hp with the motor in it then it would have been solidly into the 8's in the qtr. Good luck with the dragster project. Should be a really fun ride! |

Curious to see how far I'm off. Later Ryan |

The motor in the picture above is the small black chevy motor. To my knowledge it went to NY state with that motor in it but I could not swear to that. Ryan - The 9.85 run was at 132. The 6.10 I think was 109 or 110 but I can not remember.( getting to old! lol) The simca had realllly good 60's times. That is where the car did most of it running. I could out 60' a lot of 5 second cars. The best 60' I remember was a 1.27. There should be a few videos of it on youtube if you want to check it out. Under user name turboslant6. |

I found the second picture of Myers old dragster. This is the paint job that was on it when it went to NY. I thought it had the ace of spades on it but it was just a spade design.

I have a FED /6. Mild motor running mid 7s in the 1/8 and slowly but surely inching my way to a 7.00 (10.99) I hope. Total expenses including spare slicks in 5 years $3100. Car weighs 1404 without me I am 300 # . I was going to go on Kill mode with another motor but decided to just try this to see what I can squeeze out. I know I have not worked out its full potential yet. Ran a turbo slant 170 cu in in the 70s and have built a raced a few /s since . Fun motor. This one is 246 cubes at 10 to 1 with a hydraulic custom grind. Currently has an offy with a 600 DP. My FED is 96 inches. All the best on your project. Don |
