No…no, it doesn't. We still haven't heard how you are magicking a physically-incompatible Holley throttle shaft-and-lever assembly into a Carter carburetor and having it work at all, let alone perfectly. |

Well the throttle shaft is the same diameter and length on both carbs. There is a "flap" that bolts up inside that opens when the throttle petal is pressed. That "flap" was the only issue as they are differently shaped. So what I did was widen one of the holes on the "flap" of the Carter so it could bolt up to the Holley's throttle shaft. Since the one from the Holley had a wider bolt pattern. |

Keep us posted on how you make out with the hot and cold idle speed screws, also driveability and mileage. That, uh, "flap" you're talking about is the throttle plate, and its positioning is extremely critical. |
