Here is my BOV in action :!: Set to go off when air volume is up and butterflies close fast. (releasing hot air always feels good.

I am thinking about taking this to St.Pete 1/8 mile track, wonder if Kev is ready for some slant turbo fun? Anyway, still have the steep gear, till I change it back to a highway gear! I will have to run the 1/8 mile for a while i'm sure.

If your gunna turn the wick up (and I know your going to), 3.23 is about as deep as you want w/ a 26" tire in the 1/8. You have any sticky tires? I'm still worried about your fuel filter. Put one before and just after your fuel pump and put a good one on not the $1.50 ones. Hate to see your car go up in flames when the filter pops. Remember, fuel psi rises about 7-10 psi over your boost level. Mine is pushing 40psi at the carb. Good luck at the TnT. :D

In do time i'm sure Ryan. We are changing the filter system this week while waiting on the WasteGate. With a little line routing, should have three decent ones in line just like you said :!:

With the 4.30 gear that is in the car now, I might as well not go out. Yes running a 26" tall tire, shoot. Could possibly find some taller tires before TnT. :D

No inside fuel gauge yet, very good point Ryan :)

Thanks Don

4.30:1 would be useless and running it w/o an AFR gauge would be a recipe for disaster.

Your intercooler placement is interesting. Is that an electric fan hanging on the underside? You'll enjoy what the pressurized slant can do!!

Yes it is a fan that is thought it would help when not moving.

I new someone was gonna say something about where it's placed. Did not think it would be you tho.

Yes I call it the no cut car install. No cutting up the ol teekie.

Now that it,s done this way? If turbo brakes, I could easily remove from carb hat to the head in about a 1/2 hour. Install open headers and finish the night on the motor if needed. Hope I don't have to do this now that I said sumthin.

See ya Don

Cool setup man, let me know when your going to sunshine i'll shoot over its about 5-10 minutes from the house hopefully not this week since i just pulled the motor and trans out yesterday for an oil leak and couple things to tinker with. I'll have the motor and trans back in by this weekend after i get my headers back from ceramic coating. But i'd still go to check out the slant whether my car is there or not just PM me or something.

Didn't say there was anything wrong with it, just interesting. I went 10.90's with mine on top the motor. Later

Thanks Kevin, Your car sure has came along way fast, must be working way into the night? I will let you know something. I'm thinking a week or two. :) Going to change the gear back soon as I can.

Hay Ryan. Didn't think you did, I got the idea from your car and the turbo kit I was going to buy, showed it mounted where yours was. Bought the cooler used, just happen to be the right size for my application:!:

So after putting the car around two days, not seeing any boost but feeling allot more power, still no wastegate in the back of my head. I decided to put a little pressure on the converter.

First thing on my way up to the normal 3200rpm, could not hold the car back from rolling after only 2300rpm Very little boost showing? Did a few 2000rpm launches and felt it leaving allot harder no question. Time for a tranny brake! :?

Just wanted to see some kind of boost so. The next time I ran it up to 2000rpm launched and about the time I saw 8 lbs of boost lost traction went into second still spinning for a short when regained traction it was pulling 15lbs of boost. Don' think I ever had it mashed to the floor.

This all happened in five houses? When I let off the BOV freaked me out, it was no where near that loud just revving and setting the unit, it works!!
I'm asking for it I know. Just had to share see ya Don :D

My girlfriend described my life when i started into this turbo motor as follows
Wake up-go to work get off, go to boxing, then to the shop, then scrape in some hw in late at night for class repeat Mon-Fri. Saturday and sunday depending if i'm working then theirs lots of car time and girlfriend and friend time.

With the addictive personality I have, that is not a good thing for the wallet. :( I went to get the AFR gage, seeing them in a auto parts store for around $40.00 but for my car little over $300.00 :?: What the heck, any out there a little less expensive?

:? I guess I could be the AFR for a few test shut down runs. You know old school testing, pull plugs look, bring extra jets and so forth. Is it worth it? Or am I taking a big chance even going WOT without. Take it to a dyno set it properly $125.00 if I make changes that tune goes out the window :( the AFR gage $300.00 is looking better all the time. :)
