Remote control car radios are pretty common these days, I guess you could put the thing anywhere you can get to it with a cd, if you still use those things. |

Thats what I did. Zip tied the stereo to the wires underneath the seat and use a remote to switch stations/songs. I ran an ipod wire up through the back of the seat and hook my ipod up there. It's pretty stealth looking and no one can even tell I have anything other than an AM radio in the dash.

![]() i bought one of those aftermarket under dash stereo boxes and mounted it to the bottom of my aftermarket heater from summit (heater works well, not super hot, but it gets the job done for a los angeles winter) i then bolted the heater to the firewall. make sure you run the stereo wiring to the on/off ignition wire so that you get full access to the stereo without having the ignition to be totally open. if you flip down the face of the stereo, it looks like it's just a continuation of the heater (looking in through the window from the outside). i also used a wheel chock under the stereo to keep things nice and tight (also to make it harder for them to steal.) my rule of thumb for anything worth money that you're putting into the car is to make it as much work as possible for them to steal it. halfway through the job, they'll probably say fu*ck it and leave it in there because it'll be too much work for them to steal it and not enough profit. |

Or lack there of. The only way I know the seasons change is by walking down the aisle in savon and seeing what decorations are out. |

Oddly, we have the same season gage, except I use the Wal-Mart scale. Before Wal-Mart penetrated New England we relied on Weather Rocks, and Abenaki Barometers. |

Believer it or not wjr, we do have cold weather in LA. We got some pretty chilly weather for the past few nights. Note, I said nights. |

Here is a suggestion if you haven't completed you radio project yet. Conceal the speakers and amp how ever you choose. Then run a $30.00 MP3 Player from Wall Mart to the amp. You can get them with FM Radio and hide them on the sun-visor or between the seats. My Little Sony MP3 is about as big as my thumb. Good luck. http://www.doctorinjector.net/ |
