Anybody thought about using the slave setup from a Dakota? Those have an external slave.

Selecting a slave & master cylinder have to be done with a knowledge of volume of fluid displaced by the master cylinder versus volume of fluid required by the slave (or integral throwout bearing) cylinder to avoid disappointments.

In the case of a 65 Dart with standard pedal arrangement the most stroke you can get at the clutch link at pedal attachment is about 1.125 inch(carpet padding removed, pedal stop removed, & no carpet protector between clutch pedal & carpet)

That deflection at the master cylinder might give you about .5 in3 fluid displacement for a 3/4 dia piston for example. If your slave or integral arrangment needs more then wherever you got your parts is not the issue. In my case I measured fork displacement before I got the parts & determined I needed around .7 in diplacement of the slave cylinder which a .875 in bore cylinder barely delivered with the .5 in3 fluid displacement.

Bottom line...selecting your equipment knowing the equipment specs & your requirements might be helpful to insure the system will work after all your installation efforts.

Specs should be consulted, your requirements measured, & a few quick calculations to avoid lost time & money. The maximum movement the cylinders can move is not the issue but how they will move when you apply the amount of movement you generate at the clutch link attachment to your clutch pedal. Also investigate if your forces are going to change radically once you select the cylinders.
