I think I just stripped my gut lining...

Turboram says he's workin' on a crank/main girdle, so that could recover some strength down low if big liners were used.

The big question is: How you gonna seal the wet sleeves at the bottom when you are cutting all the strength out of the block? I always figured you'd open yourself up to crank issues taking that much meat out of the block too. That thing is going to flex like a drunk stripper chasing $100 bills. :shock:
chrome moly cylinder sleeves/forged pistons/cast iron rings

back in the day Burkart engeenering made BIG &#@% bore harley pan head complete cylinders out of chrome moly they were thin and bullet proof
for the street! pricy and took 2 years to get !
