Agreed with the above. BUT... get your voltmeter out and start measuring.

Amp gauges are fine, but you also need voltage readings to truly see what is going on.

Should be 13.8 volts or higher across the battery when engine is running at a fast idle.

FOUND the problem... and fixed it... it cost me $3.49... on the wiring diagram, there is a plastic connector that was round and tan-ish.

Another which could cause a battery to not charge is if you're voltage regulator wires aren't in full contact.
I had this happen to me a while ago,the wire at the VR terminal had come loose and was only just sitting on the terminal.
Gave the terminal on the wire a light crimp and put it back on,fixed the problem.
