I also dropped off the door handles and front bumper at Art Brass to get re-chromed.

And we have paint! The flake will go on the roof after we get back from Vegas for a concert Thanksgiving weekend and the panel/lace job will go on sometime after that.

I still need to paint the interior, door jams and engine bay. I'm thinking that we will flake the dash along with the roof and the rest of the interior will be the same vanilla color as the rest of the truck with gold flake/white tuck and roll headliner, dash pad, door panels and seat.

All this work was done in 3 days by 2 guys busting their asses!

Anyway to keep the cool 'Fifties’ Look' lowered rear end once engine is reinstalled?

The engine IS installed!

Besides that I have a 4 link kit and new airbags that will be going in. I am also going to order a 4" drop axle next year.

I love the "taildragger" look so much that I am the president of the Taildraggers C.C. Seattle chapter. We have chapters in SoCal, NM, UT, TN, and the mother chapter is out of Vegas.

The custom 48 chevy in the logo is in my garage and is SLANT POWERED!

Taildraggers, hummm… Is that club mostly attended by procrastinators? LOL

Never mind the wise crack, I like the look, and your truck’s sloping rear accent line works perfectly to highlight the lowered rearend.
