I've said it before but I'll say it again- the coolest Mopars were built in Australia, South Africa, and South America.

Look at the price he is asking for the '69. We here on the forum tend to low ball our estimates when asked a car's value. I kind of understand that. But as owners, it would be nice to think there was some value in these old cars that we have lavished our time and money on. Underneath that lowball instinct is two things, ( at least):

1. We remember when these cars were dirt cheap. I paid $700 for mine.

2. We secretly want to buy more of them while they are cheap, and hope we can corner the market and then get rich selling them when the price goes up.

Seriously, I have seen this over and over. Someone will post a car for sale on the forum asking if the price is fair. And almost without fail, the overwhelming reaction is, "That is way too much money for that car". If the public perception is that the A body slant cars are raising in value why not go with it? Let's enjoy our prosperity. It warms my heart to see one being advertised for 17K. I don't know the exchange rate, but even if it is half, that is still more than most of us here would guess if asked a value.

Yes, Reed, you are right. I would have snatched one of those things up back in '69. So would a lot of other folks, I am sure.

By the way, the same thing happens on the Miata forums, which I seldom frequent anymore.

Sam
