Sl6, if I was going to use them it was with stock 198 rods if I went that route - luckily K1 rods are on the horizon but does that means I need an expensive custom piston

I've been reading a bunch on the mopar 2.2 turbos that used a factory cast piston or these KBs and these guys are running beyond 20 PSI - wow! MPFI and an intercooler can make boost do wonderful things.
Oh, and I'm going to check in on my head this week at the machinist and I'm using your pics as a reference point

I have built a few engines(small chevys mainly) using those KB pistons,I did the math,set the ring gap and the tops of the crowns were still popping off just like yours. I contacted Silvo-Lite and they told me to open up the gap a couple thousanths more,so I did. and the last one was in a 1968 Chevy desert truck still going strong.
