Not to hijack this thread, but I can't believe how different (and good) this car looks with the Dart front end on it! I never realized the body lines were the same at the door. Chrysler designers sure managed to do a lot with the A body, making it look very different between Plymouth and Dodge.
One possible benefit of a high trunk line is not seeing the high mounted factory pickup truck headlights. I get bothered by that in my Jetta from time to time; not sure on our Camry (don't drive it enough to know).
Both cars are FWD, just put some 24â€￾ wheels on out back, that ought to block PU lights, that is unless they have a snowplow mounted, than you’re out of luck. LOL

Isn't that why there is the Day/night position switch on the rear view mirror? Or has that been deleted on newer cars?

Yes... Dodge should have made these "Dacudas" (Dart fastbacks) back-in-the-day.

I was disappointed that the new "Dart" ended-up as a "name only" deal... I hoped there would be a few body features to point back to the Dart's roots but as we see... that did not happen.

Oh, here is a side view of my "Dacuda" (wearing 5-spoke wheels)
And yes, it "cuts the air" better then all the other A-Body cars I own.

If I had a B'cuda, it would have a '63-64 Dart front end on it. I already have a '66 Valiant with a Dart front (Vart or Dalliant).

UGH!..It looks like a Honda Civic on steroids.
Maybe they'll offer a hyper-pak kit option. :?

Maybe they will direct inject it though…

I like station wagons. They are like small vans. That being said, over the last few days I have really started to get bit by the bug to get an a-body again, ergonomics be damned!

Buy my '73 Dart. It's local to you, loaded, with very low miles and in very good condition.

Image (yes, I am serious -- I have too many cars!)

Reed, what is it about the ergonomics you don't like? Head room? Leg room?

The problem with the ergonomics is me. I am 6'4" tall and about 22" across the shoulders and hips and I weigh 304 pounds. I am a big boy. That is one of the reasons I like vans.

Dan- your offer is tempting, but I was thinking along the lines of a 66 Cuda or maybe a Duster. However, I would need more money and space than I have right now to get any car. Maybe at some point in the future I will get another A body, but it won't be for a while.

Still get it from the side mirrors though (which obviously isn't impacted by trunk line). Eh, I just live with it, I don't deal enough with traffic to be truly bothered by it--just pointing out one possiblility of a "gain" from the higher trunkline.

I do know my left elbow is far more comfortable driving my Jetta than the Camry--the windowsill is at just the right height in one, and not the other.

I'm slim, but am 6'7" tall. I modified my driver's seat mounts to increase both leg room and head room. It made a huge difference. I plan to write a post showing how I did it when I have some time.

Please post instructions. I'm 6'0" 140 pounds, I need like 1 or 2 inches under the steering wheel to reach the clutch without hitting the steering wheel with my knee. Hopefully this will fix this issue as well.

Naturally a < 16.5" steering wheel would help, but I really like the original steering wheel in my '65 dart.
