To be honest... I have always wanted an aluminum block 170 SL6 but could never find any of the few sand casted, prototype blocks Chrysler made. But... I keep looking... has anyone seen one lately? (just kidding) DD |

So.... Guys.... I happen to have a '67 170 slant laying on the garage floor needing a bearing in the lower end according to the previous owner. What do I need to make said slant six a high RPM screamer? Clean up and polish the crank and rod beams and have them balanced while having the crank cut for new bearings? After that I assume it would be a matter of porting the head and selecting a good camshaft? What other mods for longevity on the street would be recommended? Oiling, flywheel, etc? |
