We used to have races in OH, IL, IN, and MI, but demand dropped so low we stopped them. Hopefully we'll be able to restart some of those in the future. We hope to see you at a race this year!

I predict I'll put a 2nd Slant 6 car in the 13s this year, and my new V2 Valiant will run at least in the 15s... I agree with the 50 pt M-D race prediction!

You'd think that with an area populated by 8 million people there would be a few more Slant racers than just Bill and I.

Unfortunately, in this area most Slant cars are long rusted to the ground, and anything that comes in is usually slated for a V-8 conversion. :(

My Duster, Bill's Dart, and the Piggie are all imports, and there are very few other Slant cars around.

Cedar Falls, IA and Clay City, KY will be the closest ones for you, and they are both the first weekend in October.[/quote]

Ok maybe ill try and make one of the events!

I predict there going to be atleast two forced induced slant in the tens this year!

Thanks for the kind words about setting the bar high. But we need to clear some things up about the "Green Grenade" dragster. Brent Laney owns the dragster. I built the body, painted it green and did a few other things. It is an old, heavy front cross spring early 130" dragster built for HAMB like events. It has an aluminum block tractor engine in it so don't expect much. The reason it might set a record is that the record is open.

Slantzilla, Brent did everything on the engine not Mike J. I thought I would clear that up too.

I got pics today of a 64 Valiant I am considering and its looking like it will be the one I get. Just need to make a phone call to verify condition of floors. Owner had it in a shed for the last 10-12 years and hadn't really paid any attention to it until today when he rolled it out to wash it off and take pics of it. So, I predict in the next week or so I will go pick it up and begin putting it on an immediate diet  .

If you need a donor body for floors there is a '64 Dart GT in my shop that can be had fairly cheap.

Mark G.-I'm somewhat confused. I don't recall ever saying Mike did motor work for you guys. I know you guys did all your own stuff forever. :? :? :? :?

The pictures you sent Meril make it look fast sitting still!

A record set is a record set.

Thanks for the clarification Mark. I'll edit my first post about the car being Brent's. Sorry about that.

Seein' as how this is the 2012 predictions, you'd better step it up by a year and git 'em dun now!

I will attend 1 Slant race this year, and it will be in Cedar Falls.

Have to have my car ready because Wookie will have the red car in Clay City. :D
I sure hope he does.... But he won't know what to do with it without you there to guide him...

I'm sure others in the "Slanted Family" will take some time to show him the ropes a bit.

Has Cedar Falls been added as a points race? Or is it an unofficial Slant 6 "Get Together"?

Rob, no problem. The "Green Grenade" was mine when the photos were taken. When Seymour announced he was going to stop running his blue car, we had to put our program in high gear.

Team Green will make more N/A slant six event passes under 10:99 than all other teams combined!

"Terrible Toad" '62 Lancer will debut before 2012 Clay City!

"Terrible Toad" will set more records in 2012 than Guzzi Mark and they won't be at sea level tracks!

Cedar Falls is the location for what was the Kearney race. Kearney is no more.
