Here is video of the three passes. I didnt realize he had so much engine trouble on the first pass. I didnt release the floor switch for my rear wheel line lock right in the last run. That was all he needed to run me down. I have since disabled it as it is too easy to turn on when you big foot is where you cant see it. He caught me about 75 to 100 feet out from end of the 1/4 mile. You cant give him nothin or he will bite you when the BB Chev is running right. Hopefully the tunnel ram when it is done and on will give me just a wee bit extra down track so I can fend off his top end charge.

Picton Airfield Armdrop Drag Races is one of the most fun events we attend during the year. We usually get two races , One spring, one fall and an extra if we they can negotiate an airport shutdown during the summer months but it is not always possible. Traction is good (not great but good) As an old racer (since 1966) I learned early on to make your chassis work where you race the most so my car is set up well for this track. This is a well run event with no breaks in the action and 600 to 650 runs during the day is normal. They video tape every single one too. They get around 1000 people per event . (This one was 1015 paid attendees) The big shots (the local "PRO" racers) boycott the event which is just fine by us. They are beginning to sneak in though with their street pieces. This is about fun, and community and common interests. It is not about trophies and winninga nd $$$$$$$$$$. I make a point of being there. Wouldnt miss it for anything.

next one is Sept 22
