great forum...awesome replies greatly appreciated! Looks like 2:94 or 3:23(leaning towards)..3:23 ok for appx. 30% hwy usage?

Going to try for 15" as disc break conversion has to be part of future..I am getting two extra leafs springs. I did see a used set of 14" mopar rallys that would have been perfect but 15" seems to be a better option.

Anyone know where I can get a front casting of Dutras? I have the rear
I sent a PM to Doctor Dodge

The suitability of various gear options for highway use depends upon how important fuel economy is to you and how much you like the engine revving 10% higher.

If you go with a disc brake conversion and want 15" rims, you will need to go with 73-76 slider brakes. It is possible that you will end up with 2.76:1 gears as you will also need to change the axle to keep the LBP all around.

I run p205x60x15 tires on 15x6 rims on the front of my '65 Dart without any problems. I run p235x60x15 tires on 15x7 rims in the rear, they fill the tub with about 1/2" from the spring. The rims are American Racing Salt FLats. The front end is also lowered 2".

I have 3.55 gears with a standard 4 speed and get around 20mph if I keep the rpms below 3500. Over 3500 rpms and you can visually watch the needle go down on the gas gauge.

I found a set of 14" SBP rally rims with trim rings(no center caps) I'm going to put the disc brake conversion on hold for a couple years or once my new tires need replacement. I'm looking at buying a set of white letter T/A's. I was thinking 215/70/14 (68' Dart 270) Adding two leafs on back

As far as gears, I'm thinking 3.23 Super six set/up should be completed in a couple weeks.

Sound like a good combination?

I just put 3.23's in my Dart, and couldn't be happier. Lots more snap off the line, and cruises just under 2,000rpm at 60 (on a 25" tire).
