Loose spark plugs aren't good. What plugs are you running? Did you remove the metal ring washers from them before installation? |

I'm using the NGK plugs you recommend, can't recall the product # but they're the right ones. And yes I removed the metal rings. |

Tighten them up to the specified torque, but I don't think that's the main cause of your problem. I still think the problem is probably in your carburetor. See my earlier comments (float, etc.) |

Dan, I checked my float and all is fine with it. I'm having the problem again with constant stumbling. The car has always had a little miss to it. When warm it wants to cut off whenever I am in gear. I'll give it a good rev and it'll backfire through the carb, then smooth out and stop missing and run great. Is this a stuck valve? |

Probably not.You may be due for a new carburetor; send me a PM if you're in the market. |
