Lou, I really wanted my dad to drive one of our cars last year and have 3 generations racing together. The announcers would have gone crazy trying to figure that all out. As it was, Dad came down and watched, and my grandchildren were there, so that was 4 generations!! Pretty cool. In 10 more years Landon will be racing with us! Boy I better start looking for some more cars!

GET THEM LITTLE BLOND HAIRED GRAND KIDS A TELEPHONE BOOK, AN OLE RUSTY A BODY .... POINT IT DOWN THE TRACK AND SHOW THEM WHERE THE HAPPY PEDAL IS>>> NOT ROCKET SCIENCE>>> :D :D :D :D WHY WAIT 10 YEARS>> START NOW!

4 Weeks to the Final race weekend of the year! Pass the word around to every one you know and encourage them to come out. I have a couple 1st timers who may be coming out, so lets make them feel really welcomed and let them know how much we appreciate them racing with us.

Hey Matt, That is great news! Hope Lou did not hurt your arm while he was twisting it!!  You will have a great time.

I will get you the phone numbers, but several folks have stayed at the Hagerstown Hotel and Convention center. About 5 minutes from the track. Also some have stayed at the red roof Inn. 10-15 minutes from the track.

Rick

Red Roof Info From the Spring race:

They are probably 10 minutes or so from the track. It is just off Interstate 81 at Williamsport, MD, just before you would get on interstate 70 to head to the track.( For those who are coming from the South)

64.99 for double occupancy. They also take AARP and other discounts so ask about them. Those are $58 I think.

Red roof Inn - 1 301-582-3500
310 E Potomac Street Williamsport, MD 21795

Hagerstown Hotael Info:
Hagerstown Hotel & Conference Center 1-301-790-3010 (3 or 4 miles from the track on the same road) They have lots of parking. $75 double occupancy, with Breakfast.

Please note the prices may not be correct. I did not call and get current quotes. Anyone coming with a trailer? the hagerstown hotel has lots of space for truck & trailers. You can also camp at the track for free.

Post subject:  Time to race

To All,

The gates open Saturday at 9:30 AM. Time runs begin at 11:00AM. So I would suggest that everyone get there soon after the gates open. They plan on being finished by 4:00PM so it is an early race

Sunday - Gates open at 10:00 AM, time trials begin at 12:00.

Ok everyone please make note of this. I talked to the track owner Saturday and instead of everyone paying $35 at the gate and then me having to go to the tower after the race and get our $20/car back; We are just going to pay $15 at the gate. Then, when you get inside, please come and give me the $20. This is easier for them and for us.

When you come in off the main road please tell them that you are racing "Slant Six" and then pay your $15. If they try to charge you $35, remind them of what I just said. Tell them Elmer said to do it that way.

For 1st timers. Turn in off Rt #40 and sign in/pay your money. They will give you a tech card. Just bring that with you to the pits and we will help you fill it out if you need help. Follow the blacktop driveway to the right. It will take you right past the tower and staging lanes. At the end of the staging lanes you have to turn left. Go straight back into the pits and look for the trees. We will be parked somewhere to the left of the trees closer to the track.

Gates open at 9:30 and we need to be ready to run our Time trials beginning at 11:00AM.

If anyone new needs my cell phone, please send me a PM.
