This was the funeral home listed in one of the news stories. I have been keeping an eye on it for the funeral date and time.

Love funeral home had him listed details were not complete as of 5:30 today. I have known Dale for over 40 years and we became best friends. Dale was the first one to get a Slant car here in Dalton to go racing. I can still remember going to a junk yard and help draging out the Valiant out. I asked Dale why a Slant Six and he said everybody does Chevy or 5.0 Mustangs lets be different. I worked for Dale driving motorhomes to his shop and detailing them. But I am sure St Peter had a time when Dale got to the pearily gates. This is a tough one . My prayers are with Dales family :( :( :(
thanks ron parker

Thats what it looks like but until you know all about the facts of the accident one does not know. I witiness an airplane crash on sept 30 at my house and i was the first person to the crash. What I saw was a plane on fire . But what I thought how it crashed and what actuialy happened came out in the NTSB report. It was different than I thought what happened. WE will just have to see what the results are. It dont matter we lost Dale :( :( Thanks ron parker

Thanks for the info and for your thoughts, Ron. We are all sad about Dale's passing. He was definitely a giant of Slant 6 racing for many many years.

Again, deepest sympathies to all of Dale's friends and family.

Using Tom's link above, you can see Dale's obituary, and sign the guestbook and provide feelings of support on the Love Funeral Home website. I have done this myself, for Christine and I, and made a donation to the American Heart Association in Dale's name.

This link should take you to the "tribute gift" section on the AHA webpage.

Dale will surely be missed by many.

Rodney and I were talking about Dale last night and about the first time we meet him. For Rodney it was at Atlanta Dragway, at that time he was running his Slant 6 Valiant, this was before the Slant 6 racing circuit was formed. I first meet Dale at Wilksboro, he and Ron Parker went out of there way to make sure that I felt welcome to the Slant 6 family. Dale was a very special member of our Racing Family, We will miss running into him at the Street Rod Show and Fun in the Sun Show every year.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Myra and the whole family. We will dearly miss him.
