I used a stock 9.25 pressure plate with a McLeod ceramic mustang disc.

It is marginal for any kind of severe abuse.

I got away with it by never launching the car hard in first gear using the clutch. (clutch released at an idle...then mash the gas pedal)

I used a stock throwout bearing/fork on a machined down Mustang bearing retainer.

........but my 5 speed is not a T5....your experience may vary. Some fabrication will be necessary.....search is your friend.

It's quick to see that the slant 6 bell housing and flywheel diameters are the real limiting factors in this swap in that clutch options are few. I have found only one in a 9.5" with the correct input shaft diameter and spline count that seems worthy although expensive and that is a Mcleod for a Chevy small block.

You won't find any 2 slant-6 to T-5 swap the same. We have all done them diffrently. I am still in the middle of mine. But here is what I have going on. Early aluminum 3speed bell so all the linkage is the same. I have a 90 T-5 from gt mustang, I cut the bolt flang off the mustang bell and then pinned and welded the mustang flang to the stock bell housing. A 66 mustang throw out bearing, stock 9.25" fly wheel that's been redrilled with mustang pattern. Auto parts store replacement clutch kit for 2.3L turbo mustang. Oh and I had a imput shaft extension turned on a lathe for me. I haven't got it bolted in the car yet but it all fits together so far.
