I have a phone meeting with Kirk tonight about the setup at Medford, and any tentative date(s). It didn't sound like he had a lot of money to work with, so I don't forsee any payouts this year from Champion. We'll see what he has to say this evening.

Had a nice talk with Kirk this evening!

He is still working out the insurance, so won't have the price structure for a bit yet. He's hoping to keep the prices in check.

He's going to base purse money on car count, and is still working out the particulars. I will keep in touch with him about that.

He will base entry fees for our event on the Sportsman price structure. That sounds fair. We'll know more in a couple of weeks about price for the weekend.

Gonna be toasty down there again. Stay hydrated!

The Bremerton track is open to an Inliner and/or Slant Six race August 24 and 25th this year!

Here's the deal, to hold a race, we need to have at least 8 cars entered. We'll need commitments from some folks to pull that off.

If we can put an event together, they will run us. They are also open to several other dates for an Inliner class. This would be a multi-event series at the Bremerton track. If you are in the area, I highly recommend you give it some thought. The inliner crowd is great to race with!

I'm going to contact Walt and see what kind of involvement we can get with the Inliner group.

Dates open for the Inliner are in the text of the message from Barbara with the Bremerton raceway:

New to our track in 2013, we will have a 5 race Nostalgia series for 1979
and older vehicles. We will have 3 classes: Electronics, Non-Electronics
7.00-11.99 and Non-Electronics 12.00 and slower. We could very easily add
an Inline/Slant Six class assuming you had at least 8 cars attending. As
you can see, our Nostalgia series dates are June 15, July 20, August 17,
September 21 and October 12.

If we were to hold a West Coast Slant Six race at Bremerton, the August 24-25 dates would likely be the best fit. Make it a single day race, then race with the inliners on the other day if desired.

Any input from our PNW slant sixers?

I've sent information to Walt Skoczylas, Portland/Vancouver Inliners International, and Jeff Nelson, Washington Inliners International to see what we can put together for the Inliner Series at Bremerton.

We will need a local Slant Six contact, as I'm too far out to attend the inliner series up there. This is the Washington state opportunity to get involved in drag racing.

I will attend the August 24-25 races at Bremerton, and bring as many with me as possible from down here to help. SSRN, Inliner or whatever car count can support.

I need to check with Edd on Sacromento, the Pacific Nationals they run are scheduled for May 3, 4th & 5th this year. We need to confiem that the SL6 race is part of that event.

I thought the Slant six race on May 4-5 would be Redding. ?
