Just to prove I live in a never ending episode of 'The Twilight Zone', I saw Bill Sunday and got permission to race his Dart.

Then, I checked the schedule at work last night to see if I could get the Monday after the race off (I go in at either 7 or 11 on Sunday nights) and see that our electrician is off for 2 weeks around Easter so I am on 12's for 2 weeks.

Discretion being the better part of valor, I'm out.

Two slant 6 cars showed up at Mo-Kan for the 1/8 mile shoot out. Highlight of the night was rookie Rusty Heisten running 6:88 in the 1/8 with that old lime green '62 Lancer. That was third breakin run on a new engine and clutch. Hope the weather holds for tomorrow, but it does not look good.

well it's good that the Friday nite event was able to proceed as planned.

I really wanted to go but a 1000 mile trip one way was a bit dicey for a possible rain out.

I just checked the Mokan site/ forum and Carl says the mopar event will be rescheduled for a Saturday in April or may... I will not be able to go.

I am not sure if the slant 6 shoot out will be occurring at the same time as the mopars invade event again. thanks for all the hard work & communication Mark.

it's much appreciated.

WV.... I will surely have another trip that will take me past your house... I will Plan on bringing my tools and help u wrenching on something.

Hey Mark,

I want to make sure I account for the points correctly...

Was this considered a Slant 6 points race?

Or will the re-scheduled 20 April be the official points race?

Also, is this 2 points races (both Friday and Saturday) or just a Test & Tune and then a points race..? :?

Thanks!

(if this was a points race, can I please have the second driver's info? )

These were both on the official schedule as points races. One 1/8 mile and one 1/4 mile.

Thanks for the PM Mark!

So, the first Mo-Kan race was held and Rookie Rusty Heisten bested the old veteran Mark Goodman.

Here's looking forward to April 20th and round #2! :D

Rusty has taken over the lead as Rookie of the Year and may have even set a new record! Very cool! 8)

(Way to recruit new talent and set them up for success, Mark! )
