Quote: Just to be clear, does the WIX 1806 work if I have a standpipe on my pump already or should I remove the standpipe?
If you do not have a standpipe (most aftermarket pumps are equipped this way if you don't save your original...), then you need 1806 you will have to swap the standpipe out for the threaded 'nub' to use it properly. Since you have a stand pipe 51515 is the filter for you.-D.Idiot |

I had a Poniac years ago which burned oil. I did an entire fill of tranny fluid in the crank case and let it idle to full temp for 30 minutes. Drained and refille d with dino oil. It ran flalessly after that and never burned oil again. |

Most additives are complete rubbish. MMO is the exception. I drive a '65 Newport everywhere. It got a hesitation in it--possibly from trash in the fuel system. Poured in the MMO and it ran flawless and cleared right up. It works like a charm if you have a stuck engine. Need a good lubricating oil? slap some MMO in a spray bottle. We also run some occasionally in dad's 24v Cummins Ram. It provides great lubrication for the injection pump. I do believe in it and keep some on hand. Great for air tools as well... |
