DI, do you have information on interchangeability of the trim on the windshields?
The trim is much like the windsheild for interchange...63-66 Valiant should be same for Dart/Barracuda...

It's when you get into the later years that you have the split between four doors, convertibles, sedan/coupes, etc...

the car never had trim as long as i have had it and cant recall seeing trim on any of the other 66 valiants ive seen so i thought that was just the way it was. given the condition of the windshield i would figure that it is original along with the gasket. the gasket is still in usable condition and i was thinking about reusing it when i change the glass.

66 Valiant did not have winshield trim. The gasket has a "slit" that fits on the pichweld in the windshield opening. There is another wider slit that the windshield goes into. Then there is a "lockstrip" that goes into the groove into the gasket perpendicular to the two slits. I am not an expert on windshields, but I would think, if you used Butyl rubber sealant, it would be almost impossible to remove the windshield, in the future, without ruining the gasket. The factory did not use a sealant, as far as I know, but the pinch weld, and gasket were new/clean/rust free.
