well /these have been around for a while..so cooling should not be an issue..(2) chromed metal does not cool as well as natural finish metal (3) I prefer externally regulated alternators for purposes of repair they are made in USA also. |

You asked what was an upgrade alternator, that "BOLTS IN". The nipondenso does just that, the the Chevy one you listed is not better, and does not bolt in. But be my guest. |

well when I thought my alt was bad, that's why I asked. but you stated I had to mod the bracket/then seems I had to mod the electric. I'm keep'in my stock unit. the regulator is new and it only cost $14 delivered/ebay sells rebuilt stock alts for like $39 delivered... i'm running a new walmart marine battery that cost around $54 650 cold cranlking amps.. looks all OK here.. found this on youtube.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WWYLGZuLkVY |
